Review of the Zeiss Loxia 85 mm
This photo has been cropped slightly, to make the columns look straight and to crop some stuff on the right; it has been shot at f 2,4. Since the model has been moving, the focus is not perfectly on her face.
Pay attention to the incredible micro contrast and the rich tonality
85 mm is the ideal focal length to take portraits and at f 2,4 this lens has a very nice transition from in-focus-areas to out-of-focus areas even at f 2,8.
Some complain that the lens renders colors muted; others describe punchy colors. In my view, what some call muted colors might be the incredible way in which this lens renders skin colors.
The lens has god contrast and renders tonal transition very nicely
